Feeling alone is something that everyone naturally feels at some point in their lives, but what happens when that feeling starts to consume you? Depression and anxiety are becoming the fastest growing mental illnesses across the world. Why are these mental illness becoming an epidemic? They are becoming an epidemic because society does not make anyone who has depression or anxiety feel comfortable enough to express their emotions. No one wants to be seen as weak because they are struggling with mental health issues. No one wants to be labelled as "crazy" because they need the assistance of a psychiatrist or therapist. When you feel alone there really is nothing else you can do about how you feel. You feel isolated and as though no one else could possibly understand the hurt that you are going through.
With this website I hope to change the mindset that "being emotional is a sign of weakness". Being vulnerable enough to actually say how you feel, is a sign of strength. Feeling depressed and anxious does make you feel insane but with the right help you can feel whole again. Everyone wants to feel mentally sane and I hope that those people living in isolation today can learn that it doesn't take much to get your sanity back.
